Salary:

16.0. per hour rising to 16.70 after 6 months (30,394 FTE)

Purpose of the role:



As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the heart of this role requires generating income through a variety of fundraising activities to continue breaking the cycle of addiction in Hertfordshire and continue the provision of free group therapy for those who need our support. You will also be working closely with the Development Team and oversee all marketing and communications with the intention of maintaining consistency, quality, protecting our brand, and raising our profile.

Person Specification:



Personal Skills:

Strong ability to build and maintain relationships. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Experience in fundraising and marketing. Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative, adapt to change and find solutions. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Technical Skills:

Digital literacy. Knowledge of fundraising practices. Knowledge of branding, image, and reputation. Experience working with a CRM. Ability to use data to guide strategic decisions. Line Management and leadership skills. Desire to reach targets.

Main Responsibilities:



Fundraising:



Collaborate with the Deputy CEO to identify and develop relationships with commissioners, funders, places of worship, individual donors, and shape projects for bids. Research, organise, write, and submit high quality funding bids and tenders. Produce timely reports for active funders. Maintain our stakeholder stewardship and CRM. Oversee Community Fundraising activities. Develop Legacy Giving. Review and apply the fundraising strategy. Identify new fundraising initiatives to diversify and increase income streams. Deliver fundraising best practices to the whole organisation. Ensure The Living Room adheres to the Fundraising Regulator's code of practice.

Marketing & Communications:



Oversee all marketing and communications activity with a focus on quality control. Review and manage the marketing budget for the fundraising and marketing activities and promotional tools. Protect the organisational brand and reputation. Promote The Living Room and build relationships with local organisations encouraging and nurturing referral pathways into our services.

People Management and Development:



Line Manage the Marketing & Communications Officer (MCO) and the Community Partnerships Officer (CPO). Conduct personal development reviews and regular one to ones. Line Manage volunteers and ensure they are valued and supported.
