Established in 1952, HorseWorld Trust is a registered charity based in Whitchurch, near Bristol, committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing horses, ponies and donkeys in need. Our Welfare department provides a home to all our new arrivals, including sick, neglected and traumatised horses and ponies. We have a team of trained staff committed to their care and rehabilitation and eventual re-homing. HorseWorld also runs a ground-breaking educational programme called Discovery which supports emotional growth and learning in young people through hands-on experience with our rescued horses, ponies and donkeys.
About The Role
As Fundraising Support Executive you will play a crucial role in supporting HorseWorld's fundraising efforts through managing donor communications, tracking donations, supporting events, press opportunities, campaigns and fundraising schemes.
Based at Keynes Farm, this role is full time, working from Monday-Friday from 9am-4.30pm and reporting to the Interim Head of Individual Giving.
Salary
24,000 per annum.
What you will be doing
Processing and management of donations, to include:
Handle and process all fundraising income, entering donations, sponsorships and partnerships onto the database, ensuring consistency and accuracy of records and collating weekly banking.
Thank donors in a timely fashion, liaising with the Fundraising team, Equine and Discovery staff to create new and informative letters.
Generate donor / fundraising reports from the database as required.
Maintain the database; input all new donor information onto the database including 'gift in kind' and donated goods.
Work with the Data Management Officer to maintain Gift Aid declaration records.
Support the Fundraising Team to deliver effective partnerships with corporates and major donors, through donation processing, preparation of media resources, and responding to enquiries.
Administering Fundraising schemes and campaigns, to include:
Support the Fundraising Team to deliver regular fundraising campaigns through donation processing, preparation of media resources, first point of contact for the general public, responding to enquiries.
Working with Supporter Care Executive, process animal sponsorships (new and renewals), and order and update sponsorship stock and literature.
Process and dispatch online orders, keeping records of sales and providing reports as required, being aware of stock levels and reordering as needed.
File all paperwork using GDPR guidelines.
Assisting with Fundraising Events, to include:
Attend internal and external fundraising events and activities as required, assisting with preparations for the events and helping to ensure they run smoothly.
Assist the Event Lead to prepare literature and other fundraising material/ items e.g. collection buckets, name badges, event invitations, posters, sponsorship packs etc.
Monitor and respond to phone calls and emails from the public in a timely fashion.
Ensure all event information is recorded on the database.
In accordance with the Fundraising Regulator, assist counting funds raised at external events
Work with the Finance team to produce weekly banking records.
Providing administrative support to the Fundraising Team, to include:
Provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for the Fundraising Team.
Respond to enquiries and expressions of interest, and providing advice, support and information over the telephone, in person, via email or by letter.
Attend and contribute to team meetings.
Ensuring the effective operation of Horse World, to include:
Provide a friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to all HorseWorld donors, supporters and prospective supporters.
Adhere to HorseWorld's policies, procedures and performance expectations and upholding the ethos of HorseWorld in all functions of the post.
Take responsibility for any clothing, footwear and personal protective equipment issued to you.
Adhere to all statutory health and safety regulations, taking responsibility for health and safety on site for yourself and those around you; ensuring any hazards or problems are reported to your Line Manager; taking responsibility any for clothing, footwear and PPE issued to you
Behave in a polite and acceptable manner to all staff, clients and general public.
Present HorseWorld in a way that is consistent with its work and philosophy.
Attend and participate in meetings as required.
Complete all required training courses
Support promotional activities and special events both on and off site e.g., Open Days
Perform any other duties consistent with the role and/or as reasonably required by the role.

Using Canva graphic design platform to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. Training can be provided.
