Furnaceman / Pourer - Bronze & Aluminium Foundry

About the Role

We're looking for a practical, experienced foundry worker to take the lead on pouring Bronze and Aluminium castings. You will be the main person in charge of pouring our moulds, as well as running our induction/electric melting furnaces. This is a hands-on job working as part of a small, skilled team in a busy foundry environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Melting Bronze and Aluminium alloys using induction/electric furnaces Charging the furnace, checking temperatures, skimming, and keeping the melt clean Acting as the primary pourer for bronze and aluminium castings Helping with furnace and crucible maintenance when required Following all molten-metal safety procedures Keeping melt records and communicating with moulding and production teams Preparation of test samples & XRF analysis

What We're Looking For

Foundry experience is preferred (melting or pouring experience is ideal) Confident working with molten metal Comfortable working in heat and able to lift around

Good mechanical aptitude and a strong focus on safety Previous experience with XRF analysis is useful Experience with overhead cranes is a bonus

Hours & Pay

Full-time, with overtime when needed. Starting rate 15.00/Hr (Negotiable depending on experience)
