Job Summary

We are seeking a joiner/carpenter to join our dynamic team for a large project we are currently working on. We need an extra member of staff to assist with putting furniture together after the specialist finish has been applied to check it all fits perfectly and is ready for delivery to the client. We are a high end furniture manufacturing company and specialise in quality. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with hand and power tools, lifting and moving pieces of furniture, have a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for fabricating components, ensuring quality standards are met, and contributing to the overall success of our production line.

This role is for a specific project which is why it is posted as an 8 month term, however this role may extend over the 8 month term and has the potential to become a full time position. We are happy to accept part time workers as well as full time workers. Ideally we are looking for a candidate who can commit to 39 hours or more a week however the hours of work are negotiable if it is more of a part time role you are looking for

Duties

Assemble products using hand tools and power tools, ensuring adherence to specifications. Fabricate components as required, including electrical and masonry elements. Perform joinery tasks, ensuring precise measurements and cuts. Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards. Assist in heavy lifting and movement of materials as necessary. Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.

Skills/Requirements

Proven experience in furniture assembly or a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs. Pay: From 16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 39 per week
