Harmony is run by Steve and Lorraine Williamson and is a true family business based in Basingstoke who have been designing, manufacturing and installing quality custom made fitted furniture for over 22 years.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Furniture Fitter to join our small friendly team based in Basingstoke. The ideal candidate will possess a background/interest in furniture fitting and be adept at using both hand and power tools. This role involves working on diverse home bespoke storage projects in Hampshire, Berkshire & Surrey, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the required materials and dimensions. Fabricate components as per project requirements using appropriate tools and techniques. On-the-job training will be provided to fit to the Harmony standard. Perform joinery tasks, including assembling and installing custom made furniture. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various fitting tasks. Conduct regular maintenance checks on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to complete projects within set deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Assist with heavy lifting as required during installations or material handling. Ensuring the site is left clean and presentation at the end of each installation. Assisting the Manufacturing Team in the Basingstoke Workshop when required.

Skills

Proficient in joinery techniques and practices. Strong ability to use hand tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with electrical systems is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required. Exceptional sense of responsibility & attention to detail. Clean full driving licence. Good spoken English & communication skills. No smoking policy (including vapes).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 10.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 - 45 per week
