Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fitter to join our construction and manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and installing various structural components, ensuring all work meets safety standards and project specifications. Duties



Fabricate and assemble metal and wooden components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise fitting of parts. Conduct installation of structural elements such as roofing, joinery, masonry features, and plumbing fixtures. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials and equipment around the site. Assist with construction painting, electrical wiring, and other related tasks as required. Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience



Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or fitting roles within construction or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, carpentry equipment, joinery techniques, roofing materials, plumbing fixtures, masonry work, and electrical systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction painting techniques and heavy lifting procedures will be advantageous. Prior experience working on-site in building or renovation projects is preferred. Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately. Physical fitness to undertake demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights.
