Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Sales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong passion for customer service. This role involves engaging with diverse clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored product or service recommendations. Highly desirable to effectively communicate with a broad customer base. The successful applicant will play a vital role in driving sales growth while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs through active listening and engaging conversation
Present and demonstrate products or services confidently, highlighting features and benefits
Upsell additional products or services to maximise sales opportunities
Maintain organised merchandising displays to attract customer attention
Provide accurate information regarding product specifications, pricing, and promotions
Process transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems while maintaining excellent phone etiquette
Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers during busy periods
Assist in stock replenishment and inventory management to ensure product availability
Cultivate strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and organisational objectives
Experience
Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related field is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Proficiency in English is required
Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
Experience with merchandising techniques and upselling strategies is beneficial
Previous experience in sales or the home furnishing industry is preferred.
