Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled

Upholsterer

to join our production team at Chic Uph Ltd,

We have just moved into a brand new factory and are extending our upholstery team.

Must be fully competent and able to work as part of upholstery line.

As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for applying upholstery materials (such as fabric, leather, foam, and padding) to furniture frames, ensuring that each piece meets the company's high-quality standards.

If distance is an issue then we are able to help subsidise travel costs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience

as an upholsterer or in a similar role within a furniture manufacturing or upholstery environment.

Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques

and the ability to work with a variety of materials, including fabric, leather, and foam.

Attention to detail

to ensure precision in fabric cutting, sewing, and the overall appearance of the finished product.

Excellent craftsmanship

with a focus on high-quality work and customer satisfaction.

Good physical stamina and dexterity

, as the role may require lifting, standing for extended periods, and working with hands.

Experience with upholstery tools and equipment

, including staple guns, tack hammers.

Team player

with good communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with other team members in the production process.

Health and safety awareness

in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to maintain a safe and clean workspace.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position, with occasional overtime based on production needs. Working in our New Factory based in Briton Ferry Physical activity, including standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks, is a regular part of the job. Protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety goggles, and hearing protection, may be required. Occasional exposure to strong odours from adhesives or other materials used in the upholstery process.
