Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day workshop operations -- ensuring production efficiency, top quality output, and smooth project delivery.
Manage and mentor the workshop team, including trainees, fostering a supportive and high-performing culture.
Plan workflows, allocate resources, and manage procurement to keep production on track.
Champion health & safety across all operations, maintaining compliance and a positive safety culture.
Drive continuous improvement - from developing new processes to collaborating with design teams on innovative furniture solutions.
Support RAW's social mission by training and developing individuals for future employment opportunities.
Requirements
Essential
Solid knowledge of furniture production, joinery, and woodworking machinery.
Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills.
Passion for quality, sustainability, and social impact.
Hands-on leadership style, with line management experience. Being proactive, solution-focused, and approachable.
Driving licence and ability to drive a 3.5t van.
Desirable
Proven experience leading a workshop, production team, or similar manufacturing environment.
Experience in upcycling, restoration, or circular economy practices.
CNC experience.
Knowlege and passion around sustainability
