Location: Chesterfield | In-Office Role

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (This is subject to change dependant on client requests)

Main purpose of the role:





Be a key member of the Art / Warehouse department, assist with the smooth running of the company's Art department and ensure the best possible client experience.

Main Responsibilities:




Art Handling & Installation:

+ Safely handle, install, de-install, and transport high-value artworks at client sites, exhibitions, and art fairs (UK and Europe)
+ Prepare artworks for transit, including measuring, packing, and custom crating on-site and in the warehouse
+ Complete accurate condition reports before and after transport or installation
+ Assist with on-site client visits, ensuring artworks are treated with the utmost care and professionalism

Driving & Transportation Duties:

+ Perform regular driving duties, collecting and delivering artworks across the Midlands, North of England, and occasionally further afield
+ Ensure vehicle is properly stocked with packing materials and maintained to transport artworks safely
+ Support in planning routes and liaising with external transport providers and couriers

Warehouse Operations:

+ Manage daily warehouse tasks including receiving, checking, referencing, and locating incoming and outgoing shipments
+ Verify shipments for correct documentation, unique reference numbers, and signs of damage
+ Retrieve and prepare artworks for collection or delivery based on client pick requests
+ Maintain packing material inventory and ensure clean, organized storage spaces

Transport Coordination & Administration:

+ Respond to client transport requests, prepare quotes, and organize logistics for shipment planning
+ Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth operations
+ Provide timely updates and maintain records to support logistical efficiency and accuracy

Customer Service & Representation:

+ Act as a company representative at client sites, exhibitions, and fairs, maintaining a professional appearance and providing excellent customer service
+ Uphold high standards of care, discretion, and attention to detail when handling and discussing artworks

Essential:




Minimum 3 years' experience as an art technician Clean driving licence Experience in field of art shipping and logistics. Knowledge of packing materials and packing methods. IT skills - MS Office. Ability to work in a team environment with other members of staff and alone if needed.

Desirable:




Pivot steer forklift licence IT skills - In house systems.

The ability to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines. Strong communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with the clients and colleagues. Be a team player in the warehouse/operations team as well as working with team members in across departments. Problem solving and attention to detail.


Knowledge




Data management, keep accurate records for the department. Driving commercial vehicles
