Game Designer

(or even a

Senior Game Designer

!) to join our fantastic Game Studio team in Sunderland. This isn't just about drawing pretty pictures; it's about shaping the entire look, feel, and journey of our games for millions of players!

What you'll be getting up to (a glimpse into your exciting design world!):




You'll be at the heart of our game creation process, turning exciting ideas into playable realities. You'll be:

Industry Insider:

Keeping your finger on the pulse of the wider gaming and app world, spotting key competitors, features, and trends that could influence our next big hit.

Concept Creator:

Planning every step of a player's journey, helping steer game mechanics from a narrative and visual perspective, and building immersive visual worlds.

Player-Focused Design:

Validating your game concepts with data and player insights, ensuring every design choice truly resonates with our amazing community.

Production Pro:

Understanding how other development teams work and structuring your files to ensure a smooth journey from concept to launch.

Collaborative Wizard:

Working hand-in-hand with teams across the studio, contributing to game development and helping us overcome any creative hurdles.

Branding Boss:

Interpreting and expanding on tombola's unique art and style guides to ensure our games always look and feel authentically "tombola."

Your design superpowers:



Deep understanding

of tombola games and the wider mobile gaming industry.

Exceptional Illustrator

with a strong background in both Graphic and UI/UX design.

Mastery of Adobe Illustrator and Figma

- your creative toolkit! Ability to interpret a brief, grasp its bigger goals, and inform brilliant design solutions. You'll

drive and own

the look, feel, and overall player experience of our games. Awareness of key company and Game Studio strategies, goals, and OKRs. You can present your amazing work concisely and clearly to anyone in the business.

Bonus points if you have (especially for a Senior role!):



A knack for

leadership

and mentoring less experienced designers. The ability to

pitch and sell your game concepts

like a pro. An understanding of the

business impact

of our games and what drives their success. Experience in

reviewing and improving processes

, and even creating new ones! Understanding of the R&D game development process and how to manage work roadmaps.
