Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various groundwork tasks, ensuring that all operations are carried out efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team in outdoor environments.

Duties

Carry out groundwork tasks including excavation, drainage installation, and site preparation. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively. Assist in the installation of utilities such as water, gas, and electricity. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time. Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in groundwork or a related field is preferred but not essential. Machine tickets (e.g., diggers, dumpers) is advantageous. Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites. Good physical fitness as the role involves manual labour and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. A valid driving licence is beneficial for travel to different sites. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay: 20.00-23.00 per hour
