About the Role:

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for delivering high quality civil engineering projects?


Jones Bros Civil Engineering is looking for a

Ganger

to join our project delivery team on major infrastructure schemes. Reporting to the Works Manager and Site Foreman, you'll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our infrastructure projects by overseeing daily site operations, maintaining compliance, and driving high standards across safety, quality and performance.


You'll be expected to travel with overnight stays required depending on site location. In return, we offer excellent lodge allowances for working away from home, along with the opportunity to manage impactful schemes and further your career within a growing business.

What You'll Be Doing

Team Leadership and Supervision

Lead and supervise small teams of operatives, ensuring efficient execution of civil engineering tasks. Foster a positive work environment that encourages safety and productivity among team members.


Health & Safety Management

Oversee the health and safety of the team, ensuring all members adhere to safety protocols and perform equipment safety and maintenance checks before, during, and after tasks. Mentor and motivate team members to maintain high standards of safety and care for equipment, ensuring the wellbeing of all personnel on site.


Operational Excellence

Ensure that all tasks are carried out with a high degree of care and compliance with operational standards. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in equipment handling and safety procedures.


Reporting and Communication

Report directly to the Site Foreman and Works Manager, ensuring they are informed of team progress and any issues. Communicate effectively with team members and other site personnel, promoting a culture of respect and professionalism.


Duty of Care

Maintain a strong focus on duty of care for all plant and equipment used on site, ensuring that everything is in optimal condition for safe operation.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Cat and Genny Lifting operations (Supervisor or Slinger) Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme (SEATS)


You'll be a reliable and proactive individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety, teamwork and quality. A willingness to support and develop others is essential, along with a positive attitude and desire to grow with the business.
