We are currently seeking an experienced and driven

Ganger

to oversee a key infrastructure project in Paignton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, groundworks, or utilities, and be confident leading teams on complex, fast-paced construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure work is delivered to programme, quality, and safety standards Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain progress Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations (RAMS, site inductions, tool box talks) Manage site reporting, including daily diaries, progress reports, and material/resource tracking Liaise with the client, project stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery Assist with project planning, budgeting, and cost control Manage site staff and subcontractor performance Attend progress meetings and provide updates as required

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, highways, or utilities SMSTS or SSSTS certification CSCS card (Black or Gold preferred) First Aid at Work Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Full UK driving licence
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
