Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the work of a team (gang) to ensure all tasks are completed safely within schedule. Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safe working practices in line with health and safety regulations. Method Statements: Brief the team on method statements and ensure they are understood and followed. Equipment Checks: Conduct regular checks on plant and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Work Planning: Plan and organise work activities, ensuring all necessary permits are in place before work commences. Quality Control: Ensure all work meets the required standards and specifications. Communication: Maintain effective communication with site supervisors and management regarding progress, issues, and equipment needs. Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly in groundworks and civil engineering. Certifications: CSCS card, SSSTS qualification, and relevant health and safety training. Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Technical Knowledge: Proficient in using and maintaining construction equipment and tools. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Organisational Skills: Good organizational skills to manage work schedules and resources effectively.

Safety: Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with regulations. Timeliness: Deliver projects on time and snag-free. Quality: Maintain high standards of work quality and accuracy.
Work Environment:

Construction Sites: Work primarily on construction sites, often in various weather conditions.
