ROLE SUMMARY:
Wetherby Pembridge seeks to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and positive Gap Student for the remainder of the 2025-26 academic year. The successful candidate will be an important member of the School's support team, facilitating the effective day-to-day functioning of the School, and in particular making an important contribution to the School's rich and varied co-curricular programme
This is full-time role, working 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday during term time, although a part-time profile could be considered for an outstanding candidate. The role reports to the Deputy Headmaster.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Making a significant contribution to the coaching of Games and PE, including the supervision of students during coach travel to and from the sports ground
Assisting the Facilities Team with logistics e.g. for Open Days, school events, etc.
Breaktime and supervisory duties, as directed by the Deputy Headmaster
Assisting the Front Desk Manager with providing a welcoming and professional experience for visitors to the School and during student arrival and departure
Assisting the Admin Team with routine school administration
Supporting the work of the First Aid Coordinator
Working occasional evenings and weekends e.g. to support inter-school fixtures or evening performances
Chaperoning students to and from the bus drop-off at the start and end of each school day
Accompanying school trips as required
Contributing to the Clubs and Activities Programme
Covering for absent colleagues as required and as directed by the Deputy Headmaster
Attending staff meetings, parent meetings and other meetings, within or outside normal school hours, according to the Meetings Schedule and as directed by the Deputy Headmaster
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Educated to at least A Level or equivalent
First Aid at Work (training can be provided)
Competent in the use of ICT
Ability to communicate effectively as part of a team
Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
Good organisation, with an ability to prioritise
The ability to adapt to the varied tasks of school life
The resilience, drive, strength of character and sense of both humour and perspective to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and ambitious environment
