Job Description

Yn gweithio fel aelod o'r tim Garddwriaeth yn yr Ardd Fotaneg i gyfrannu'r weithredol at gynnal a chadw a gwella casgliadau planhigion yr Ardd Ddeufur o ddydd i ddydd, ei harddangosiadau a'i mentrau, gan gefnogi cenhadaeth ac amcanion strategol yr Ardd Fotaneg.

1 Cyflawni'r holl dasgau garddwriaeth angenrheidiol i gynnal a chadw a gwella'r casgliad planhigion.

2 Cynllunio a blaenoriaethu tasgau garddwriaeth o fewn yr Ardd Ddeufur.

3 Cynnal cofnodion cywir o blanhigion a labeli lle mae'n briodol.

4 Ymgymryd a goruchwylio a chynllunio gwaith o ddydd i ddydd ar gyfer dysgwyr a gwirfoddolwyr.

5 Cyflwyno'r Ardd Fotaneg i'r cyhoedd sy'n ymweld a gwella eu dealltwriaeth a'u mwynhad drwy ateb cwestiynau a rhoi sgyrsiau, a chyflwyno arddangosiadau a theithiau.

6 Cymryd rhan wrth ymchwilio i blanhigion yn y casgliad a gofynion eu trin.

7 Helpu cynllunio a datblygu casgliad planhigion yr Ardd.

8 Bod yn gyfrifol am arferion gweithio diogel mewn cysylltiad a phrotocolau iechyd a diogelwch.

9 Mynd i weithdai, cyfarfodydd a sesiynau hyfforddiant a chymryd rhan weithgar ynddynt.

10 Cyfrannu ar ddigwyddiadau, gweithgareddau, sioeau a rhaglenni allestyn cyhoeddus yr Ardd.

Works as a member of the Horticulture team within the Botanic Garden to actively contribute to the day-to-day maintenance and improvement of the Walled Garden's plant collections, displays and initiatives, supporting the Botanic Garden's mission and strategic objectives.

1 Carry out all horticultural tasks necessary to maintain and improve the plant collection.

2 Plan and prioritise horticultural tasks within the Walled Garden.

3 Maintain accurate plant records and labelling where appropriate.

4 Undertake day-to-day supervision and work planning for learners and volunteers.

5 Present the Botanic Garden to the visiting public and enhance their understanding and enjoyment by answering questions and giving talks, demonstrations and tours.

6 Participate in researching plants in the collection and their cultural requirements.

7 Assist in the planning and development of the Walled Garden's plant collection.

8 Take responsibility for safe working practices in relation to health and safety protocols.

9 Attend and actively participate in workshops, meetings and training sessions.

10 Contribute to Garden events, activities, shows and public outreach programmes.
