Garden Centre Grounds Maintenance & General Assistant / Delivery Driver

Location: Ewenny, Nr Bridgend
Three days (with potential to increase to 5 days a week during spring peak season)
Start Date: October 2025

Overview

We're a small, friendly garden centre looking for a practical, reliable, and hardworking all-rounder to join our team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same -perfect for someone who enjoys keeping busy, takes pride in their work, and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty!

Responsibilities

Grounds maintenance: Weeding, general upkeep to keep our site looking 10/10 Basic repairs and handywork (woodwork, electrics, fixing odd jobs) Assisting customers with plants, compost, and general gardening advice Loading/unloading stock with forklift/pallet truck and handling deliveries Driving our van for deliveries (valid licence required) Using our EPOS till system when needed Supporting the small team and ensuring everything runs smoothly

Skills

Full UK driving licence (van experience preferred)

FLT experience
Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
Practical skills in woodwork, electrics, and general maintenance
Some plant/gardening knowledge (or willingness to learn)
Comfortable with basic IT and using tills
A reliable, punctual team player who takes pride in their work

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
