We are looking for a proactive

Sales Assistant

to join our Outdoor Shop team.
This role suits someone physically fit, with great people skills, a hands-on approach, and the energy to thrive in a busy, outdoor-focused environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the outdoor shop area, including compost, aggregates, and fencing displays Ensure adequate stock of packing materials, trolleys, and baskets Price up and display new stock accurately and attractively Assist customers with purchases, including packing and carrying items to vehicles Keep the department clean, tidy, and safe at all times Restock products promptly and ensure displays remain well-presented Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet customer needs Operate safely when handling heavy goods and equipment

Key Skills

Must be physically fit

frequent heavy lifting

Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner Positive, energetic attitude towards work and customers Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work on Bank Holidays when required Customer-focused approach with a commitment to excellent service Forklift licence or previous forklift operating experience is desirable but not essential Basic organisational and time management skills
Own transport arrangements are

essential

as public transport is not reliable to Coolings.
