Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the ability to create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. This role requires hands-on work with various plants, flowers, and landscaping elements, ensuring that gardens are healthy, vibrant, and well-kept.

Duties

Cultivate and maintain gardens by planting, watering, and fertilising a variety of plants and flowers. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging to ensure a neat appearance. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks. Irrigate gardens efficiently to promote healthy growth while conserving water. Conduct regular inspections of garden areas to identify pests or diseases and take appropriate action. Assist with groundskeeping duties to maintain the overall aesthetic of the property. Collaborate with team members to plan garden layouts and seasonal planting schedules.

Qualifications

Proven experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred. Knowledge of plant care, including growing conditions and pest management techniques ideally RHS level 2 is preferable. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to gardening tasks. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong attention to detail with an eye for design and aesthetics in landscaping. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively when completing tasks. A UK driving licence is essential.
