Gardener Required for a Private Household in Fyfield Essex
A competent, physically fit and hardworking Gardener who has a track record of working as part of a team and with the creating and maintaining gardens and lawns. Possessing a comprehensive knowledge of botany and horticulture as well as the various planting seasons for tress, vegetables and flowers. Must be comfortable with working in all weathers and seasons.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Undertake turf and garden maintenance and landscape construction activities Plant propagation and removal Apply pest management and plant nutrition programs Contribute to design and planning of garden works Maintain all machinery and equipment Maintain plant stock Lead and direct other staff Ensure that Health and Safety rules and procedures are implemented and followed Any other duties as directed by your Line Manager
QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES:
Previous gardening experience to include, Greenhouse Propagation, Roses, Kitchen Garden, Herbaceous Borders, Tree and Lawn care. Skills in various gardening techniques and equipment and an ability to maintain and service equipment Good plant identification skills Experience in handling pest and weed control chemicals Full clean driving License
Working hours - 0730 hours to 1630 hours - Monday to Friday
