Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and a keen eye for detail. This role involves nurturing and maintaining gardens, ensuring that they are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. The Gardener will work both independently and as part of a team to create beautiful outdoor spaces.

Full training will be provided for the right person.

Duties

Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and weeding to keep gardens in optimal condition. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, and mulching. Irrigate plants and ensure proper watering schedules are maintained to promote healthy growth. Assist in the growing of plants, flowers, and vegetables by preparing soil, planting seeds, and monitoring growth conditions. Conduct regular inspections of garden areas to identify any issues such as pests or diseases and take appropriate action. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with other team members on larger landscaping projects or installations as required.

Skills

Proficient in landscape maintenance techniques with a solid understanding of plant care. Experience using power tools safely and effectively for gardening tasks. Strong groundskeeping skills with the ability to maintain various types of outdoor spaces. Knowledgeable in growing different types of plants, flowers, and vegetables suited for the local climate. Ability to irrigate gardens efficiently while conserving water resources. Competent in using hand tools for precise gardening work. Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating beautiful outdoor environments.
