Gardener / Handyperson

to help us maintain our high standards and support the ongoing care of our grounds and buildings.

Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of skills in maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all aspects of property upkeep are handled efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in various environments, including residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities



Perform general maintenance and repair work using hand tools and power tools Maintain gardens and outdoor spaces: mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning, hedge trimming, and clearing paths Conduct landscape and groundskeeping tasks, including irrigation system checks Assist with the installation or repair of fixtures, fittings, and small appliances Carry out minor plumbing and electrical repairs as required Keep all work areas clean and tidy during and after tasks Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete tasks within agreed timelines Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies needed for daily operations Collaborate with other team members when larger projects or urgent repairs arise

Requirements



Proven experience as a Handyperson or in a similar maintenance/gardening role (preferred) Proficiency in safely using hand tools and power tools Knowledge of garden care, irrigation systems, and general groundskeeping Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently Good communication skills -- able to liaise clearly with team members via phone and text A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential) Clean workwear and good hygiene as part of a professional appearance Willing to use mobile app tools for job tracking and scheduling Available to work at least 2-4 days per week
