Duties

Maintain and care for gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas using hand tools and power tools Assist with planting, pruning, watering, fertilising, and weeding to promote healthy growth Carrying out winter gritting Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules are maintained Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, mowing, and debris clearance Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases, implementing appropriate treatments Support the installation of new garden features or plant displays as required Ensure all gardening equipment is maintained in good working order and stored safely Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during outdoor work activities

Qualifications

Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance Familiarity with hand tools such as secateurs, spades, rakes, and hoes Experience operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and blowers Knowledge of irrigation systems and watering techniques Growing experience with various plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees Strong understanding of horticultural principles and best practices in garden care Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
