Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with practical experience in gardening tasks. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, contributing to the beauty and health of various green spaces. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining gardens, planting, pruning, and ensuring the overall aesthetic appeal of outdoor areas.

Responsibilities

Planting, watering, fertilising, and pruning plants to promote healthy growth Using hand tools such as spades, shears, and rakes for garden maintenance Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers safely and efficiently Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants Conducting landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn mowing, edging, and weed control Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate action Assisting with seasonal planting and garden redesign projects Keeping the work area tidy and ensuring all equipment is maintained in good condition

Requirements

Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems used in gardening Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently or as part of a team A genuine interest in gardening and landscape aesthetics Valid personal identification (e.g., ) demonstrating right to work in the UK
We are a small company so you don't need experience, you will be shown how to use the lawnmower, strimmer, hedge trimmer, etc

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 8.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 35 per week
