We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across various commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work safely in potentially challenging environments. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in plumbing, welding, carpentry, or related trades to utilise their skills within a dynamic team.

Duties

Install, service, and repair gas appliances and systems in compliance with safety regulations and standards. Conduct routine inspections to ensure the safe operation of gas equipment. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to carry out maintenance tasks. Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including pipe fitting and leak detection. Carry out basic carpentry work as needed for system installations or repairs. Undertake heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely and efficiently. Maintain detailed records of all work carried out for compliance purposes. Assist with assembly of new gas systems or components on-site. Drive company vehicles to various locations as required for installation or maintenance jobs.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role involving gas system installation and maintenance. Competency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools. Mechanical knowledge relevant to gas appliances and systems. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations involved in installations. Valid commercial driving licence is preferred for travel between sites. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to gas work. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. What We're Looking For

Gas Safe registered (or equivalent qualifications) Proven experience in domestic plumbing and heating (commercial experience a plus) Full UK driving licence Strong fault-finding skills and initiative Excellent customer service and communication skills A professional, can-do attitude and pride in doing the job right first time is imperative
