Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team to deliver Calor Gas Cylinders and products sold via our Country Store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations around Norfolk, while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Operate a 3.5 tonne truck with tail-lift or similar vehicle for deliveries, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety protocols. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Communicate effectively with shop staff and customers to confirm delivery details and address any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any discrepancies in orders. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Requirements

Valid driving license with no more than 6 points on driving record. Minimum age requirement of 21 years due to our driving fleet insurance. ADR (Class 2) License would be advantageous but not essential as training/course will be provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Forklift License beneficial but if not, in house training will be given. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Basic Computer Knowledge Essential.

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour
