Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in gas installations, repairs, and maintenance. This role requires proficiency with hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Gas Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations while delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assemble components and systems using hand tools and power tools effectively. Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including the installation of pipes and fittings. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with gas appliances, providing timely solutions to clients. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during each job. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working on-site.

Experience

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools proficiently. Experience in plumbing tasks related to gas systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is an advantage for those required to transport equipment or materials. Basic maths skills are necessary for accurate measurements and calculations during installations. Ability to perform welding tasks is a plus for specific projects requiring metalwork. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs.
