Overview

We are looking to recruit a skilled and dependable

Gas Engineer

to join our team on a

full-time employed basis

. This role is focused on

breakdown response and insurance repair work

across domestic properties. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The successful candidate will be experienced in fault-finding on boilers and gas appliances, comfortable working independently, and able to deliver a high standard of service.

A reliable vehicle and full toolset are essential requirements of this role

- a fuel allowance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Attend domestic breakdowns and emergency call-outs. Diagnose faults and carry out safe, effective repairs to gas appliances and heating systems. Conduct insurance-related repair work, including reporting and compliance documentation. Maintain clear and accurate records of all work carried out. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and relevant standards. Communicate effectively with tenants, homeowners, and office staff. Occasionally assist with related plumbing and heating tasks.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Gas Engineer, including breakdown work. Current

Gas Safe registration

with valid ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT as a minimum).

Own vehicle and full toolset

(fuel allowance provided). Full UK Driving Licence. Strong diagnostic and repair skills. Good written and verbal communication. Willingness to work independently and manage own workload effectively.

Desirable

G3 Unvented Hot Water certification Experience working with insurance repair contracts NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating Basic carpentry or multi-trade skills
