Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gas Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at working with various tools and equipment. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances and systems in residential settings. The Gas Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations while delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, including boilers, cookers, and heating systems. Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Assemble and plumb gas lines as required for new installations or repairs. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Perform welding tasks as necessary for pipework or other installations. Engage in heavy lifting when moving equipment or materials on-site. Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues to management. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on-site.

Experience

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to installations. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites. Experience using both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
Salary neg doe, van and fuel card provided. 30 days annual holiday entitlement. Weekly pay.
