Job Description

We are a busy, growing property management company looking for a

Gas Safe registered engineer

who can also carry out general maintenance work. We manage 200-300 properties across Gateshead, Newcastle, South Shields, Sunderland, and Murton.

We're looking for someone who is confident with boilers, heating systems, and safety checks -- while also happy to do day-to-day maintenance tasks as needed. This is a

long-term role

with daily work and the flexibility to be

employed or self-employed

, depending on your preference.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out

gas-related work

, including:

CP12 landlord gas safety certificates

Boiler repairs, servicing, and installations Diagnosing and resolving heating issues Handle general property maintenance tasks (when gas work is not scheduled) Some jobs are one-off call-outs,

others may be full refurbishments where you'll be on-site for weeks or even months

Receive a WhatsApp job list each evening for the following day Take clear

before-and-after photos

of each job Maintain professional communication with the team

What We're Looking For:

Gas Safe registered

(must provide registration number) Strong boiler, heating, and plumbing knowledge

Practically skilled

, with hands-on experience in general property maintenance

Own van and tools required

Reliable, organised, and confident working independently Comfortable using WhatsApp to receive and manage job details Friendly, professional, and easy to work with

12 months (with long-term ongoing work guaranteed if it's going well)

Hours:

Flexible - typically 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Pay:
