Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join our Facilities Management team based in Eccles and covering a number of police stations across the Greater Manchester area. This is a full-time mobile position working from 7am to 4pm, 40 hours p/week.

The role:

  • Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager
  • To deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance in line with the contract service delivery plan for Commercial and Domestic gas and related equipment
  • To carry out gas works including minor new works, refurbishment and capital works replacement programme
  • To investigate, troubleshoot and rectify defects in all boiler and gas systems and associated plant/components, commissioning subcontractors where necessary
  • To ensure all statutory documentation is completed and kept up to date at all times
  • Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm with a one hour unpaid lunch break, plus participation in the on call rota
The person:
  • Qualified to C&G level 2, or equivalent, in one or more discipline and to a competent standard under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 essential
  • Minimum of 5 years boiler and gas experience
  • Able to read technical drawings and interpret O&M manuals
  • Proven track record of building services work or trade based knowledge in a similar environment
  • Must be able to achieve and retain relevant vetting clearance required by the client
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Sound IT skills including CAFM experience, or similar
  • Full driving licence as travel to various sites across the contract will be required and a company van will be provided
