Job Overview


We are currently recruiting for a F-Gas and Gas Safe engineer to service the but not limited to the south of England. Duties will include carrying out maintenance, service and reactive breakdown repair to the buildings assets and services The successful candidate will have time served in servicing and installing commercial and domestic AC and Gas systems.

Duties



To provide scheduled visits to sites under the planned preventative maintenance routine and breakdown assistance to carry out specialist tasks to assets and equipment which may include; General electrical and building services installations, Gas and HVAC installations, kitchen white goods maintenance, electrical supplies and controls, specialist lifting equipment, general distribution systems, external lighting.
Support the Electrical technician when required.

Respond to reactive calls issued within the SLA.

Ensure all remedial tasks issued following statutory insurance inspections are undertaken as instructed.

Escalate reactive calls which require specialist involvement to resolve.

Provide advice and support on Health and Safety along with maintenance, testing of Life Safety systems.

Provide supervision of subcontractors

Skills



Ability to carry out minor repairs and maintenance.
o Ability to carry out new and existing installations.

o Understanding of COSHH, manual handling, fire safety.

o Ability to plan tasks, manage time, and prioritize.

o Clear spoken English to liaise with staff and contractors.

o Proactive approach to identifying and fixing issues.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

o NVQ Level 2-3 (Mechanical Discipline e.g. Heating and Ventilating 6018) or recognised equivalent; or BTEC / City and Guilds (Electrical / Mechanical Discipline) or recognised equivalent

o ACS/Corgi/Gas Safe qualification in Domestic & Commercial Gas

o A working knowledge and experience of gas and oil fired appliances

o Experience of combustion and the utilisation of gas analysers for improved efficiency.

o Experienced in the Gas Appliances, Oil appliances and mechanical aspects of general building PPM schedules; and reactive works

o NIC accredited for Gas installations

o Competent working knowledge of Air Handling Unit's, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment.

o Current, clean car driving licence.

o Excellent command of the spoken and written English language

o Ability to write technical reports

o Basic literacy and numeracy.

o Experience in a similar role or general maintenance work.

o Awareness of health and safety practices.

Desirable:

o Enhanced DBS check (required before employment).

o Training in first aid, fire safety, or safeguarding.

o Specialist knowledge/training e.g. Water Treatment Systems, Plants, or Systems

o Application of Health and Safety Training

o OFTEC accredited or trained competency in Oil Fired Appliances

o Experience in computer PPM management systems (e.g. Concept)

o 18th Edition.

o LPG.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 40,214.00-46,000.00 per year
