The RTR Group is a well-established Building and Property Services company operating throughout Essex, Kent, and across the UK. Due to recent growth, we are looking for a skilled qualified Gas Engineer to join our expanding Maintenance Division.

Role Summary

We're seeking a qualified and experienced Gas Engineer with a strong "can-do" attitude and pride in their workmanship. The role involves inspection, installation, and maintenance of gas systems in domestic and commercial settings, alongside a variety of general maintenance tasks. Hours are 8am to 4.30pm (with 24hr call out rota)

Key Responsibilities

Carry out installation, maintenance and repair of gas appliances and heating systems. Diagnose and resolve faults with boilers, central heating, and gas pipework. Perform gas safety checks and issue certification. General maintenance support including basic plumbing, drainage, tiling, decorating, and void works. Provide quotations for remedial and new works. Complete risk assessments and adhere to health and safety procedures.

Skills and Experience Required

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance or gas engineer role. Must hold valid Gas Safe Registration (CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1 as a minimum). Strong understanding of gas safety standards and compliance. Good general building maintenance skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage own workload effectively. Full UK driving licence required, no more than 6 points.
