Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems in both residential and commercial settings. The Gas Engineer will ensure compliance with safety regulations while delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in accordance with current regulations. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure safety and compliance. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision and quality. Perform plumbing tasks as required, including the installation of pipework. Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to health and safety guidelines. Collaborate with other tradespeople, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Troubleshoot issues promptly and effectively to minimise downtime for clients.

Qualifications

Gas Safe Registration. Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in gas engineering or a related field. Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform basic maths for measurements and calculations related to installations. A valid, clean driving licence is required Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively. A commitment to health and safety practices within the workplace.

Other Skills

Experience working on construction sites, as well as in domestic dwellings. The ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team. Must have a clear understanding of domestic heating/hot water systems and associated controls. Have a high standard of customer service.
