This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances and systems in both residential and commercial settings. The Gas Engineer will ensure compliance with safety regulations while delivering high-quality service to our clients. Responsibilities - Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, including boilers, cookers, and heaters. - Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to identify potential issues. - Perform necessary adjustments and repairs using hand tools and power tools. - Assemble components as required for installations or repairs. - Plumb gas lines and ensure proper ventilation for gas appliances. - Carry out heavy lifting tasks as needed during installations or maintenance work. - Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. - Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to gas work. Qualifications - Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in gas engineering or a related field. - Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. - Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations. - Experience in carpentry is advantageous for custom installations. - Valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation of equipment. - Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. - Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
