We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, plumbing, and safety regulations. The Gas Engineer will ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality, contributing to the efficient operation of our clients' facilities. Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair gas appliances and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues with gas infrastructure
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently
Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including pipe fitting and leak detection
Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance on gas-related equipment
Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Assist in the assembly of new gas installations or components as required
Undertake heavy lifting when handling equipment or materials during installation or repairs
Drive company vehicles for site visits when necessary, adhering to all commercial driving regulations
Skills
Proficient in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment for gas system work
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and technical documentation
Experience with heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving duties
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
