Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of gas systems and be able to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on various gas appliances and systems. This role requires a proactive approach to safety and compliance with industry regulations, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently and to the highest standards.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential settings. Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Diagnose faults in gas appliances and systems, providing effective solutions for repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and electricians, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service reports and compliance documentation. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health and safety standards.

Skills

The successful Gas Engineer will demonstrate the following skills:

Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to gas installations. Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely. Strong plumbing skills for integrating gas systems with existing water supply lines. Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of various gas appliances. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations. Carpentry skills for any necessary structural modifications related to gas installations. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. A valid driving licence may be advantageous for transporting equipment or travelling between job sites. Experience in assembly tasks related to gas appliance installation is preferred.
