Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances. the engineer must also have the skills and knowledge required to carry out the installation of heat pumps and full heating circuits including all new pipework (copper) and radiators. This role requires a strong understanding of domestic heating systems and must also fully comply with all health and Safety regulations.

Duties

Install, assemble, and maintain gas appliances, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Conduct thorough inspections of heating systems to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs. Plumb gas lines and ensure proper connections to appliances. Utilise power tools and hand tools for installation and maintenance tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Collaborate with other employees and tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless installations. Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any discrepancies or concerns. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on-site.

Skills

Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to installations. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and the ability to resolve issues within various heating systems. Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively. Good knowledge with problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. ideally a good working knowledge of wiring various heating systems although not essential
The right candidates must have the ability to work on their own and also within a team to deliver high quality installations within a reasonable time limit, this Vacancy also requires traveling and the occasional stay away.

you will be supplied with a vehicle, uniform, phone and fuel/expense card and any nights away will be extra.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
