Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. This role involves working on gas installations, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all installations meet safety standards. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out tasks effectively. Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, ensuring proper connections and functionality. Assemble components of gas systems as required, demonstrating strong mechanical skills. Carry out heavy lifting as necessary during installation or maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations. Experience in plumbing is advantageous but not essential. Carpentry skills are a plus for any additional modifications needed on-site. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. A valid commercial driving licence is desirable for transportation of equipment to job sites.
