We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of gas safety regulations. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial settings. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively during installations and repairs. Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including pipe fitting and assembly. Carry out heavy lifting as required for the installation or removal of appliances. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project execution. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding work performed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role within the industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Experience in plumbing and carpentry is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation of equipment to job sites. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
