Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer and Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various technical skills related to gas installations, repairs, and maintenance. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards while delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities



Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with gas systems. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform necessary repairs and installations. Collaborate with plumbing and carpentry teams to ensure seamless integration of gas systems within building structures. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while working on-site. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job. Assist in the assembly of gas-related components as required. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Drive commercial vehicles as needed for transportation of tools and materials to job sites.
Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and related appliances.

Fit bathroom and kitchen fixtures including sinks, toilets, baths, showers, and dishwashers. Identify and repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing issues. Carry out first and second fix plumbing work on new builds and renovations. Install and service heating systems in collaboration with gas engineers. Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues, ensuring compliance with building codes. Work with drawings and specifications to plan plumbing layouts. Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and left in good condition. Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication. Maintain tools and materials to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in plumbing, welding, carpentry, and assembly tasks. Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
