Overview


Rb and sons plumbing and heating ltd are seeking a skilled or newly qualified Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background and interest in gas installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We have a range of engineers and labourers who are able to help with your role and enhance your skills.

We are a small family business with a great team work ethic. Rb and sons have regular work and contracts including air source, LPG, heating, services, bathrooms, plumbing and emergency call outs. Rb and sons have frequent work with various letting agents and flexibility is important.

Our services can cover Staffordshire, The Midlands and Cheshire. The ideal candidate would have a driving licence and access to their own vehicle. Wage can be negotiated dependent on the experience and workload.

Responsibilities



Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with gas systems. Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and industry standards. Perform welding, plumbing, and assembly tasks as required for installations and repairs. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and compliance documentation. Collaborate with other tradespeople as necessary to complete projects on time. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.

Skills



Proficient in welding techniques and practices. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems. Experience in plumbing, including installation and maintenance of piping systems. Competent in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Have asbestos awareness training Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation of equipment to job sites. Pay: From 28,947.39 per year

Expected hours: 24 - 45 per week
