Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in working with gas systems. This role requires a hands-on approach, where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems according to safety regulations. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with industry standards. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including assembly and plumbing work. Perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution. Apply basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on-site.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role within the industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to gas installations. Experience in plumbing is advantageous but not essential. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation of equipment to job sites. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
