RE Gore have been in business for 30 plus years and we look after many properties from schools, offices, high end residential and warehouse buildings. We have GasSafe, F-Gas & SafeContractor accreditation. We offer a full range of services including planned maintenance to installations, service and repair.

Work is varied and can be within the M25 and surrounding counties. You will be expected to travel to the various sites. A van would be provided. Call out cover is expected on a rota basis paid as overtime if called out after working hours

Job Summary

We are seeking a

Gas Safe engineer

wishing to expand their skills and work with us. Commercial experience is not necessary but is a bonus. Training will be provided for the right candidate. If you are wanting to work in a varied environment, learn new skills on the job and progress in the commercial sector as an engineer please get in touch.The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept in various tasks related to gas installations, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This role includes carrying out various maintenance duties and repairs covering all building requirements not just heating.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in some residential but mostly commercial settings. Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including assembly and installation. Perform basic welding tasks as required for specific installations. Experience using press fit system an advantage. Engage in heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or concerns. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role is preferred, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems related to gas engineering. Familiarity with plumbing systems is advantageous. Basic maths skills are essential for calculating measurements and quantities accurately. A valid driving licence Experience in other trades such as basic electrics, plumbing, repairs and air conditioning an advantage.
