We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools. This role involves working with gas systems, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations while performing installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in commercial settings.
Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to perform tasks such as plumbing & assembly.
Perform heavy lifting as required for the installation of equipment and components.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred - Gas Safe Qualifications.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
Experience in plumbing is highly desirable.
A valid commercial driving licence is an advantage for transportation of equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
