We are seeking a skilled and reliable Subcontractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of skills and experience in various trades, including welding, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical work. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The Subcontractor will be responsible for completing projects on time while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Execute various construction tasks including welding, plumbing, and carpentry as required by project specifications.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
Conduct assembly of components and structures according to technical drawings and specifications.
Perform heavy lifting and manual handling as necessary for project completion.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow on-site.
Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the project.
Utilise basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and estimations related to projects.
Ensure all work is completed within the agreed timeframe while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in trades such as welding, plumbing, carpentry, or similar fields is essential.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely is required.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are necessary.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
A valid commercial driving licence would be advantageous but not mandatory.
