Salary: 35,000-40,000 per annum

About Us

GLR Energy is a Chester city centre-based business specialising in domestic and commercial heating, renewable energy systems, and high-efficiency solutions. We are expanding and looking for a skilled Gas Safe Engineer who also holds Level 3 certification in Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) to join our growing team.

Role Overview

As part of our field team, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of gas boilers and air source heat pump systems in residential and small commercial settings across Cheshire and nearby areas.

Key Responsibilities

Install and commission air source heat pump systems (domestic) Install and maintain gas boilers and central heating systems Fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs Conduct tightness tests, purging, and safety checks to Gas Safe standards Ensure compliance with current regulations (Gas Safe, MCS, Building Regs) Maintain accurate records and provide excellent customer service

Essential Requirements

Gas Safe registered (CCN1, CENWAT, etc.) Level 3 Award in the Installation & Maintenance of Air Source Heat Pumps (Non-refrigerant route) Proven experience in both gas and ASHP installations Full UK driving licence Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude

Desirable

G3 unvented hot water qualification F-Gas (if working with refrigerant systems) Solar thermal or hybrid system knowledge
