We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various technical skills related to gas installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and properties. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with gas systems, providing effective solutions. Perform welding tasks as required for installation or repair of gas lines. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including plumbers and carpenters, to complete projects effectively. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on-site.

Skills

Proficient in welding techniques for gas-related installations. Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in the industry. Experience in plumbing systems related to gas appliances. Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations. Carpentry skills for any necessary structural modifications or repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs. Valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transporting equipment or materials. Experience in assembly tasks related to gas appliances or systems.
