Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in assembling, plumbing, and welding. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and the ability to perform heavy lifting. As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe installation and maintenance of gas systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install gas appliances, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on gas systems to ensure optimal performance. Plumb gas lines and connect appliances as per specifications. Perform welding tasks as required for installations or repairs. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects on time. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while working on-site.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Experience in commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment to job sites. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during work tasks. Familiarity with carpentry principles is a plus, aiding in the integration of gas systems into building structures.
